This is my current C.B. radio set up. I was wondering if any one on here uses theirs often like me? If so where is your radio mounted?

GMRS Radio. Ham Radio.
Mine is in my ashtray. I only use it when trail riding with others. I did take a road trip from Florida to San Antonio and back and used it. Listen to truckers say where cops were or what lanes to be in during construction or accident areas.

I had mine their but took it out because it stuck out. I use mine on the daily and have my RF and modulation turn all the way up from the inside of the radio. I just need a better place to see the radio.
C.B. is just pretty popular in my area.

I also have a ham radio which doubles as a scanner above head on the roof but I’m also not crazy about that location either

Amazon. It’s made by ARB for the FJ Cruiser. I had to carve it up a bit and modify the brackets to make it fit. You can see the rear of it needed a bit more work in the pic.

It’s the same one in Ronnie Dahl’s 79 series Land Cruiser on YouTube.

This is nice and simple. It’s out of the way and you can take it with you.

Jack, I just installed mine in the ashtray. I had to use the dremel to cut out the back plastic piece of the trim to fit it in but it fits really well and I like how clean it looks.

I also put mine in my ashtray. I am still waiting for my firestik, tailgate mount, stud, coax cable, and SWR meter to come to complete the install.
If you put your cb in your ashtray, I would highly recommend getting a 90 degree coax connector so that i can sit farther back and not kink the cable

It was just a mollie storage pouch I took off a plate carrier I had. I just used low profile strap on the visor then connected the pouch to the straps
