I have no idea how or why I'm still awake, but I found me getting stuck vid and am attempting to upload it in its raw form.

There's a really good shot of me throwing my rope in front of the camera and then it staying there for 2 minutes.

But the actual lead up to getting stuck and the assist are decent shots.

What's the quickest way to go through (hours of :smash:) footage and upload the highlights?

What editing software do you use?

I use an older version of Sony Vegas. I think YouTube has a free offline editing suite now.

I definitely have to say that this was the best time I've had at Richloam pretty much ever. The company was great, the drivers were adventuresome, and the challenges were just enough to be interesting without being all that terrifying. Plus I get to add my Ford Recovery Unit and Diesel Recovery Unit merit badges to my Jeep Recovery Unit badge, haha.

Plus it was kinda nice running rear guard for a change. Thanks for coming out and being our trail guide @Sholden223 . And thanks for taking point, @GuyHuey . I tend to be a little overzealous sometimes and forget that there are less capable trucks behind me, but your caution was the right attribute for our lead truck. :hattip:

Oh, and I should mention, I made a good call on not putting my good radiator in the truck before this trip. I tore another hole in it with the fan, but we didn't catch this one until the truck shut down on me due to overheating. We put water back in her and she still got me home without the aid of AAA, but this one was definitely worse. The worst part was, my temp gauge barely went above halfway when it was boiling out. Could have been from the lack of water going by the sensor, but I really think I need to install and learn how to use that scan gauge Todd gave me so I can see an actual number.

Also of note in that carnage list is I'm pretty sure my passenger side inner axle seal is gone, but it was probably gone before this trip since it was leaking gear oil out when I had the truck jacked up to replace the CV on the other side. And then, while it never actually broke, my older Napa CV was clicking pretty good by the end of the day. I think it was probably already over stressed at Citrus a couple weeks before, but by and large I think I came out okay.

I'm just going to pack some more JB Weld in the new leak and keep doing it until the radiator either quits working or I the idea I have for some armor to protect the radiator from the fan comes to fruition. No point in putting a good radiator in it if I'm going to keep tearing holes in it.

Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
One of the highlights for me was the Aligator that slid into the "trail" in front of us as to say ya'll don't have a chance of making it down this one.

Wish I had video of it.

Well, evidently the videos I have on my phone are going to take 2hours and 20min to download to the computer...then I have the fun time of editing them, haha.

Edit: in my computer time, 2hrs 20min = 13 minutes in actual real time. :notsure:

Yeah, that would pretty much be the NO GO on my Go/NO GO scale, because my ass isn't getting out to hook up the strap with a gator swimming around in the water with me, haha.

It was a blast, and actually, having spent most of the time riding around with the A/C on it wasn't too bad. Even when we stopped for lunch, the horse flies were worse than the heat. If I absolutely had to gripe about something, it could have been a little cooler, but other than that conditions were almost perfect for us. Yeah, we had to turn around a lot, but that's just the way it is out there. Hope to see you at the next one. It will probably be the Fall Camp & Ride for me. I don't wheel in the summer if I can help it, though I'm always on call to help a brother out if the truck's not pulled apart for maintenance.

Drone footage was kind of choppy (I f'd up the settings) but I may be able to grab some stills and a little video from what's there. I have a shit ton of GoPro footage to sort through.

Just finished cleaning up the old runner. I hosed all the big chunks off yesterday and gave a good wash today.

It certainly took a little more effort than a regular wash. Richloam likes to stick around. Had a few stained spots that were a little stubborn but with a little elbow grease came off. Considering the heavy branches and underbrush I drove though without a second thought the Monstaliner held up well with only a couple of minor new beauty marks.

The Monstaliner did it's job and held up a little better than I expected.

Haha, well, I just rolled out of bed at the crack of noon. I ain't hit a lick on the snake as yet. I'll probably hose the OGT down today...maybe. But since this is my last trip of the season, I'm going to do all my post season super clean stuff like pulling the tires and brake drums and power washing the suspension and brakes, cleaning the insides of the wheels and tires. Then I have plenty of maintenance to do with another radiator leak, a wasted inner axle seal, and a clicking CV axle (not sure what I'm going to do about that one...I might let it ride for the summer and swap it out before the Fall Camp & Ride since I was just in there a couple weeks ago buying a new one, haha).

Edit: Oh, yeah, and I forgot to add I have to readjust my rear bumper, lol.

It has it's good points though...you can easily see where you missed a spot and once it's gone, it's gone. It doesn't stain everything orange like Citrus mud does, haha. Plus, if you go through the water holes without spinning your tires, you don't get a lot of mud stuck to the suspension and underbody. The back of my skid plate had nothing on it, where as after a trip to Citrus, I usually bring a shovel full or two home with me sitting on the back (and the top front) of my skid plate.
