Pretty sure that there is a pretty big thread about this very issue. You are not alone. Just do a quick search. It will come up.

Not sure if you are referring to the rear differential howling or the door seals, but there are TSB’s per Toyota on both.

Could be lower control arm holes with a cross wind or the window seals.

I bet some dealer techs don't know how to check it, don't do it when they say they did as it's a process indeed, or advisors just bs it to make it sound like they did something and make us go away.
It's become an OCD thing now that will never go away IMO.

    Technical Service Bulletin......

Toyota sends to the dealers to alert them that it's a known issue and if an owner brings up the issue, they address it and fix it.

It's NOT a recall.......... ONLY if YOU take it in complaining about the issue.

My advice to you is find a copy of the TSB that refers to your Exact problem...... Read it carefully. If it does, in fact, address your issue, then go to the dealer and describe your issue almost "exactly" as it's written on the TSB. Don't tell them you heard it on a forum... they will be turned off by that.

    Good luck.

I bet most people know this, but if you want to drive with headlights or marker lights on during the day you can go in you head unit to display setting and click daytime mode! The display will be at the same brightness as when the headlights are off.

you can also keep track of them here also:

    https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls
Go to the site, select Recalls, select Vehicle, enter your year/make/model and search, select the # under the Manufacturer Communications, scroll down and you'll find the TSB information NHTSA has.

Create an account for yourself here, login, and snoop around:

So they're not recalls. However, if we bring our vehicle in and explain/complain the issue in the TSB they correct this without charge? Or is there still a fee for labor and parts? I'm not familiar with how a TSB works.

I have an oil leak and I've located the TSB for what seems to be a known problem. I want to take my truck in to get looked at first from a local automotive guy before heading to the dealership without certainty.

If it would normally be covered under warranty, then yes, it will be repaired at no charge to you, just like any other warranty repair. If it's not covered by warranty, then you will have to pay for the repair.

A TSB really is nothing but a troubleshooting tool for the technician. It alerts them that there is a proven fix for a very specific problem.

When your engine is not running, does anyone know how for this not to be flashing all the time when you have it on? Yes I know I can turn it on accessory but I want operation of my windows. If I hit it again to turn it off and go back to accessory then it starts my music back over on my phone lol don't like my music to be messed with. You can hit back on the steering wheel but it just pops right back up.

Number 3 on things that are normal but concern others, what do you mean when it will only hold 9999 song's can you upload songs into your head unit please tell me yes. That would beat me having to use my phone so much with downloaded music even though it doesn't take data through Google music.
