It sounds like camp spots need to be reserved. Is open camping somewhere near by an option?

I haven't actually looked at the OP yet So apologies for being late to the party.

 

You can yellow post, but nothing really close. Just reserved camping. Try and find a spot to share on one that is already reserved. Just pm the occupant.

I showed up for the day last year and did a trail run that ended on Gold Mountain!

 

I'm really not on TW very often at the moment. The new baby is definitely soaking up my attention.

 

All the fun stuff happens after the non campers leave.

 

This is true. Many runs where guys didn’t at least hang out at camp for a few. Always a good time

 

Like the time @AssBurns was shooting bottle rockets at the side of canyon wall...while we were at the bottom of said canyon

 

Scouting was a pretty good success today!

Ran 2N01 - Heartbreak - Back up Burns (2N02 I believe) - Clay Playground - 2N01

Didn’t get down Sidewinder or up to Tip Top Mountain on this trip... Will get out there again in the next couple of weeks to run those as well...

Trail Report - - -

Heartbreak was by far the most technical section of this run. Super Fun! Some good size boulder crawls and off camber, most of which are on the down slope. My buddy tagged along and popped his “off the usual fire road” cherry in his Z71 Colorado on 31s w/ a good 2.5” lift and made it through nicely! Def had him 3 wheeling & white knuckling it in some sections...

This will be the core of our run and will be legit! I will coordinate with @85straight so as not to cluster fuck each other’s groups but it shouldn’t be an issue, we will pass them as they make their way up the difficult loop on Heartbreak.

With this run I’d like to keep it to 2wd Locked & 4x4... No open diff 2x and/or stock rigs, on street tires. I kid, with love. But yeah...
