And I am neither. I forgot what time it was. Ryan won’t be home for a couple more hours. I may have forgotten to eat lunch too.

I need to get down there and look again. Is that the ideal cut? I was hoping to get away with just a cut somewhere so I didn't have to have piping welded on.

After 4 months of being in storage, I finally towed my 85 home. Tacoma did OK towing it.

In all seriousness is it considered poor etiquette to fire off a group DM with said shock gurus? I know posting in the BS thread is kinda scattershot but I don't wanna be the "that guy" who hits reply all on the email chain and shits up everyone's inboxes. ;)

I've been thinking about doing something similar but I'm not necessarily thrilled about the idea of dumping under the body, what with fumes and noise and whatnot.

Maybe don’t group message but you can message each one individually, so that they’re not dealing with a bunch of replies especially if they don’t care To have any part of the conversation.

Thanks. I'll probably do that tomorrow.
I also posted up in a thread for a guy up in CO who offers a rebuild service.

What kind of custom valving are you looking to end up with and why? Meaning what all are you planning to do to the truck that you are compensating for, and or what are you trying to correct that you think they need to do?

Dumb question but I never figured this out, what exactly is a storm trooper build? Just any White truck with blackout accents? Or is it a specific set of mods?

I guess technically my build could be a clone trooper lieutenant build then...

Hola. Your best bet would be to go to Sdhq and talk to Joey. Tell him what you are wanting and he can throw stacks together. Best to know what’s in their first and how it feels. So I’d rebuild them, then revalve after you have a baseline. Pretty easy to rebuild, just basic tools needed, but nitrogen and s no loss chuck are pricey. Have a shop fill them when your done rebuilding them.

Honestly trying to revalve 2.0’s will be a waste of time though. Especially with no extra weight in the back. Need weight to really tune. I’d rebuild them, slap them on and call it a day.

My understanding is that they do not come stock with a flutter stack on the compression side, which is good for washboard roads without giving up a lot in terms of on-road manners.

I'm not looking at throwing the Fox valving completely out the window, just making a few little tweaks here and there to better fit my application which is 90% on road manners balanced with tackling washboards and stuff moreso than gnarly huge obstacles that are gonna stuff /droop me out a lot.

And it's one of those "while you're there" kinda things. I have a shock, I have to pull it open, now is the time if any to make any changes. Speak now or forever hold your piss. Hell, if Kyle/ any of the other shock gurus tell me I'm G2G with the stock stacks or small tweaks, I'm down. All the more budget saved.

So then could I tweak the stock stack to make it a flutter stack or does it not work that way?

I don't plan on a lot of extra weight out back so I guess it's kind of a moot point then, looking at some crazy custom stuff. My eventual plans would be something like a bed rack and an awning, which probably couldn't add up to 200 pounds even if you got the heaviest stuff you could.

I'm still trying to figure out if I could remote-resi them inside of any reasonable budget (ie, not close to just buying them new) though...
