    piddly stuff
    Back taping isn't meant to leave no edge it simly decreases the severity of it to make it disappear you need to wet sand and buff the area. Yes you can wet sand the panel with 800 grit, dust paint over the repaired area increaseingly moving outward a little at a time until you have coverage of the repair, and then just clear the whole panel. This way your also not trying to isolate a certain area by taping it off thus eliminating any tape edge at all. Do't worry about the overspray on the rest of the panel from spraying the color you want that as that is your "fade" or blend. When you clear over the panel it should bring it all back together.
