As far as I can tell it's no more loose than it was before. It's still held on by the 4 "push rivets" and the bumper step pad.

DIY PVC pressurized water system installed in my 2018 TRD OR DCLB.
6 inch PVC about 5 feet long. Holds roughly 7.3 gallons. Pump it up to 10-20PSI and it'll hold for days ready for use whenever.
Had to fabricate some mounts as well.
Got the idea from other posts on this site. Appreciate all the awesome ideas found on here.

That clip will pop back in the slot on the truck. Then pushing the end cap on it will snap on.
I would scuff it up with 280 before priming AND THEN I would paint. He said he was going to paint the chrome, that's a nono. Prep it first.

 

Im just gonna get new black ones. My recent paint jobs have tended to suck and the humidity is like 98%.

how much lift did you gain with 886s?

 

I forgot to take measurements. It is in preparation for a winch and bumper. Surprisingly not as stiff as I was expecting.

 

just ordered sum tc bed stiffeners , has anyone put any rubber grommets inside the eyes so clips or beaners dont chip up the inside of the eyes?

 

Yes, got the grommets at Home Depo, works like a charm.

 

Did any of you guys exsperience problems with any of these sound enhancing apps on not playing some of your iTunes music? I’ve gone through multiple apps and probably waisted about 15$ on apps that would only play 5 songs out of a few hundred I have on my phone. It may also differ because I have an iTunes membership to where I can download unlimited songs off of iTunes but the apps still say they’re protected? Any ways around this please.

Another option, and one that I find much easier, is to use a sponge. Get a good sponge, spray bedliner on it, and sponge the caps while they're still on the rig. No need to tape stuff off, and the sponge will provide a bit of texture to the caps. It also makes touch ups much easier.

Thats awesome! Where'd you buy this and how was the install? Do you just drill and bolt straight through the topper? I have the 100r camper shell on an access cab with a 6.5' bed. I really want to add a roof rack to this setup but am nervous about drilling through the top.

 

This is the best I have available for now. You can't tell by the picture, but it has a slight textured surface. The only tape I used was at the bottom of the taillights and around the plastic of the bumper. Use a mild grit sandpaper to help with adhesion. Both caps took me less than an hour.
