Yeah, some come with a looser version that has a pretty volatile reaction with air, so once you cut open the tube shit gets warm and you have like 2 minutes to lay it all down and get the window in place.

Alright I guess this is another thing I leave up to the professionals. You know Merc wanted like $600 to replace the shattered sunroof? I went to pick-n-pull and paid $5 for a replacement one. It took me a whole five minutes to replace.

I've done a few cars with the standard rubber seal, but did have one window crack right as the last corner was being sucked in.

I wouldn't do it, just because if you get any of that adhesive on the headliner you might as well burn the car down.

Cleaning out the garage. Who wants an Apple IIe motherboard? Manufactured 1982. It’s dead, Jim - but it looks cool.

No video output, I replaced the dead board with a working one. I’m chucking it if no one wants it.

Hang it on your wall or something. Idk.

Here’s what the Apple IIe looks like.

I have a whole 24U server rack full of Dell, Supermicro, and Cisco servers too. If you want one let me know. All working when pulled from service.

I had two Supero servers back in the day for Minecraft. I gave them away long ago though. Was fun having a server that was pretty dang fast though. Dual 8 core opterons and some ECC ram that the speed escapes me on. That IIe mobo is pretty easy to fix if you have a TTL tester.

Back in my Minecraft days I didn’t know shit about servers, so I paid a host monthly for one. My upload speed is pretty trash here so I couldn’t run a server anyway. I get 5mbps up on average. It sucks.

How ironic is it that I live 30 minutes from Google, yet no Google Fiber.

One of those servers is 64GB ECC DDR2 and dual socket CPU. It’s baller as hell.

Idk what’s wrong with the IIe board. The video output barrel connector had a broken pin, so I tried resoldering it. I did and all it did was produce fuzzy and glitched video output with tons of artifacts so I figured it was a dead video chip or something. I got a good deal on a used working one so I just replaced the whole bord.

That rack has been sitting in my garage for two years. I decomissioned a small IT startup out of someone’s garage.

There’s so much damn waste in the IT world. Everything goes obsolete every couple of years so the old machines just get trashed. It’s ridiculous.

I used to stretch out old equip as far as I could, not much reason to when I can afford decent shit when I need it and not have to take up my living space with standby equip haha. But yeah it is wasteful, I wish people would think in terms of upgrading rather than just buying new

I fixed my buddy’s 1994 Jeep Grans Cherokee the other day and you would not believe the amount of technology in that thing. Everything is computerized. The whole thing has like 6 different computer modules in it.
