Aiy, that bites. I risked it and had the passenger door back together before I tested. At first I thought it wasn’t working, but then I realized I wasn’t trying to open it... was touching it to lock it. Duh! Got myself straightened out and it works just like the driver’s side. I did break one of the tabs on the passenger triangle so I need to price one of those out. It’s in place, but held by 2 of 3 tabs.

Also, yeah those speakers might as well be paper cups with paper clip drivers. It’s truly surprising they don’t sound worse.

    Stock compared to OEM+ speakers.

Didnt mean to hijack thread but had to show how light the stock speakers are.

You might’ve not pushed the crimps into the connector all the way, thus closing or slamming the door might’ve loosened it? If it worked once it can’t be a broken wire. It’s either a loose crimp, connector didn’t click in all the way, came loose or wire taps at the ECU aren’t secured well, or made for a larger guage than for the wire you used perhaps.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I decided to run all new wire and get new taps for up near the ECU. New connections in the door as well. I just ordered the new wire taps so I will post if all is well or not.

I used an old obd2 plug. Then I stripped it and used the wires inside which are prefect gauge.

Nice thank you. I got my door handle working yesterday. Ran all new wire as and all new connections. Works perfectly now. @Victory thanks for the write up!

That's what I did it for as well. So hard to get keys with a car seat in your hands.

I have done all kinds of mods to my truck that make driving it better, however, if i had to choose only one, this would be it! This was DEFINATELY worth the time and money to do.

Mods, how so we get this to be a sticky? I think it is worthy.

This is a great mod. Thanks for the write up.

Anyone know if this part is made(or possible) for the tailgate handle?

Awesome, thanks for this right up! I haven’t had time to read through all the pages but did someone mention that there is a setting to unlock all doors when touching the driver side keyless entry spot?

Yes, on the first post under the “Installation” heading the first two lines should get you to that setting.

Yes, skipped over this at first and got into the wiring part and lost me. I probably will try this mod someday. Thanks again for the extensive write up.
