Well, my conciliation prize (for not going on this adventure) was a quick trip to Moosehead. Loaded truck Friday night, drove up Saturday morning, set up camp and in the water. Tore down camp this morning, some swimming in the water then drove up the west side of the lake and over to Jackman. Awesome ride.

    Lots of sail boat fuel
Please tell me you're going fishing up there. In 3 years I get one more week of vacation from work and that is exactly how I'm using that one week. Monster fish.

Truck is good. Driver is unreliable.

But he takes meds for that.

My 14 year old truck has always served me well.

Every time I wheel, it’s the trucks around me that seem to break down and need assistance with the fix. The past 3 years, so far, for field repairs, I’ve come across: a complete DS replacement, a DS U-joint replacement, 2 CV axle replacement, one rear Diff bashed, one electric t-case actuator, one front brake hard line ghetto replacement (@mach1man001), numerous electrical issues, power steering issue, steering rack problem, rear swingout failure, numerous tire bead reseats, and over 2 dozen field recoveries.

And in all these cases, I’ve pulled something from the the truck to aid in the effort.

For every issue/fix/repair, I learn from it and have a contingency plan for it.

I have spare brake hardlines specifically for @mach1man001 ‘s brakes in case he tears them apart again. *Knock on wood*

That’s because we were both at the @mach1man001 ghetto brake line field repair clinic.

I think you lost a couple pounds hoofing your OBW up the mountain to wash the mud off of Rob’s brakes.

Hmmm, I might be able to fit my Hobart in the backseat. Needs 240v tho, and my power supply is only 110v, 15 AMPs, 1800 Watts.

I’ll just have to rely on my basic kit: roll of wire, zip ties, duct tape and JB Weld.
