The weekend of June 23rd and 24th is open for me. I prefer Saturday but am open to either day. We could have a little trail ride then cookout or something. I'm open to suggestions

I would be very interested, but I don't think there are any snakes down that far south, but if you were to come up I do have a couple of areas. If you are just talking about a hike, I would still be interested.

I am not actually in Clarion, but no one has ever heard of where I live.

That's funny. I grew up in Salina, PA. I would have to rattle off 3 or 4 different towns before people would know where I was from. As far as the old stone camp, that's just hiking. Wouldn't really be hunting snakes. I used to go to Clarion pretty often. My buddy has property behind Palmer's store.

The guy that told me about the place posted pics on PghOffroad. Tried to find it once but the kids were tiny and I wasn't carrying them the whole way. I know how to get to the trail, just never made it back.

We've discussed local off-roading, so you may know where I am from. Most haven't heard of the smallest city in the USA though.

I would actually really like that. I enjoy hiking and exploring. I actually ended up in a old stone camp once about 4-6 miles depending on what part of toby road once. I went small game hunting when I was 18 or so with a friend from the area. He got us lost as hell, but we ended up at an old stone camp with a fire place and all, just no roof. I have a good sense of direction and knew they way to the road was up over a steep ass hill, but I want to sleep in my bed. I finally convinced him to walk up instead of sleeping it out for the night. I take a strip map and compass now when I am in unfamiliar territory.

@amRRussel is pretty close to Palmers actually. I used to race quads out that way, but he says there is wheeling out there as well.

Are you into kayaking? Could be a nice way to spend the day if you make the trip. Hike in the AM before it is too hot, then float.

I know where you are. Do you do the polar plunge they do down there? I worked with a guy from your city and he would always talk about it. Wanted me to go and I said I am completely fine with my nuts hanging outside of my body, not shriveled up inside.

There is a little wheeling through there, all depends on how much you care about the paint will determine how far you can go.

I haven't done the plunge in about 4 years, but used to do it every year. It was fun when it was small, but now there are tons of people and no parking. I usually go to the bar and find a stool while everyone else jumps now.

Its my DD so I do care about scratches, but it depends on the type of scratches as well. If they aren't deep, then shit will buff out. I don't care to get deep scratches though. My main concern about wheeling is rocks, no armor underneath yet.

Catching up on the last couple weeks lol. Think i fucked up the quotes...

I live 10 minutes from Clarion. And I believe I know the trail you're talking. Shoot me the road name and I'll know for sure.

    I have!
I know there's a lot of places for SxS and ATV riding but not sure about the trucks. Lots of places to yak though!

Did the polar plunge about 4 years ago. One of the coolest (literally and figuratively) and dumbest things I've done. I was first to hit foot to water and probably just about the first back to land haha. Best way to get warm is dry clothes as fast as humanly possible. We had people with us to hold towels up while we changed. Didn't want to embarrass myself lol

Well, we had a great weekend up at camp but sadly I've come to the realization that I need to upgrade to a double cab. I really hate to sell my truck but my girls are just getting too big to ride in my extended cab. While I really want to stay in a first gen the lack of manual transmission is a deal breaker. Anything in particular I should look for in a second gen? So far I'm looking for '05 up double cab MT. Prefer TRD off road. Short bed with a cap is a plus. Looking to stay as close to 100k as possible for under $18k. Know of any? Anyone looking for a clean 1st gen TRD MT w/ 112k?

Hey Bob. Since we live in the rust belt, try to find a 2nd gen that the frame has been replaced. Most of the trucks around me have had the frames replaced. Good luck with your search. If I didn't buy an 85, I would be interested in your truck.
