Don’t you have an barrier that you get with the floor? You should it’s was $50/box i think ? @Texoma ?

 

I installed hardwood floors last summer I didn’t paint the floor sounds like a waste of resources to me. I’ve had no problems

 

Hm, I'll be on lake Travis with the Family this Saturday.

We just did our house a few months back and didn't seal or paint the concrete. Way I see if there is that much water in the house the flooring is ruined anyway not mater what is down and coming out.

 

I’m going this Thursday night for some catfish been a while since I done that. Hope Belton lake treats me good.

 

Heavens no I’d never attempt that unless it was a life/death type thing last thing I need is a missing digit or snake bite. Much respect to those who do it takes some fortitude. What about you?

I didn't paint my floors before installing hardwood floors and they are fine. A good padding/moisture barrier will work fine.

You should join in on just the noise making aspect of it. A few random “HUHS” and “HYAHS” will let them know you’re serious about your work, too
