Well I drilled into the door well for my roof light mounts. I'm on edge with it. If I can find a box that opens on the side I'll just mount it under my RTT on the rack.

eon_blue , your setup looks beast! Thanks for the input. I feel like it would be hard to drill into the truck. Might try to find an over the camper shell/cab rack. I can't seem to find one pre made so it looks like I will have to have one fabbed. any ideas welcome. pictures worth a thousand words.

    Thanks :fistbump:

I know I've seen guys on here with bed racks that go over their Softoppers so I'm sure there's something out there that would work for you. They may have had them custom fabricated though, but there are several members on here that can do that for you (and probably others in your area that aren't on here).

I really like my Avid bed rack but I wanted it to be low-profile so that my RTT would sit at the same height as my cab.

I had to drill a 6 inch hole into the trunk panel on my dad's 2012 Mustang, now that was scary... Not his car in this pic but the same process

yeah that looks like the same tool used to drill the hole for a snorkel on our trucks....I've always thought that would be terrifying as well, but at least it's not that hard to replace a fender if you need to. Replacing the roof....not so easy (or possible really, lol).

I'll be doing that on my fiberglass fenders for a snorkel. Wish I knew someone who does sheet metal I'd have him modify my fenders lol

That's true much like the snorkel, but roof skins can be replaced (part number 6311104050) $350 from Camelback lol

I have a Prinsu and had to drill into the cab. Just filled it with silicon and haven't had an issue. It's been about 2 years or so now.

Yakima makes an extension for their Q-Tower round bar rack. It bridges between front and rear towers. I have the extension kit collecting dust in my garage. I used it on my old coupe. This set up will work on extended cab tacomas.

    Best part:
    No drilling
    100% removable

That’s the same size hole saw I used on my corn hole boards. I couldn’t imagine do it to a mustang. Especially someone else’s.

Also I replaced some u-joints over the weekend. What a PITA but I got it done, just need to install the drive shaft.

Also my brakes have been squealing a little, turns out one of the pistons is seized. Any tips on this? I'm going to call NAPA and see if they're still under warranty and replace them if they are

Im curious about seeing how the snorkel turns out with the glass.... I’ve been romanizing the idea of a snorkel but I’m committed to the glass.

All panels are replaceable if you really want to do so. If I had smacked that telephone pole back further into the cab a few months ago I would have been looking at replacing the extracab portion of the cab, Thankfully they just had to replace the rocker panel.
Here is the link to Camelbacks body parts diagram. I have a full parts catalog for the 95-00 trucks on my home computer.

Don't let me do it to a mustang especially a newer one. Cause i'll use a blowtorch lol. I really hate modern day muscle cars. If you like them cool but I don't. Gimme a 1970 charger or any muscle car in that era lol.

I was scared for my life but knew that if i screwed up a tad it wouldn't matter since there was a whole new panel going over that area.

I like them but would take a car from the 60s over one in a heartbeat. The newest thing I own is my 2001 Cobra and that car is bare bones when it comes to "features"
