    Hi guy,
I am still new to Tacomas.. not to tacos...
I have 18 Pro. with 400 miles now. Since new I feel a strange feeling when braking. I thought I just needed to get used to it. I just don't get good feedback. It feels like if the are some small bubbles in it, like it wants to vibrate. It is not all of the time. I notice it more coming out of the garage at 0-2 MPH. Never had a vehicle like this.
    any thoughts.

The brakes on my 18 OR (300 miles) are solid. I actually really like the way they feel - very progressive. Sounds like you may have some issues.

You sure it's not just the brake booster? My 2016 TRD doesn't seem to have any "bubbles" feeling in it, but you can definitely occasionally feel the pump as it applies pressure. And getting used to the brake feel when I just bought the truck was challenging. I almost made my wife eat the dash a couple times. It's touchy.

I'm not sure about any other models, but ORs and Pros have an electric brake booster - there's a pump that activates to keep the pressure up, sometimes it comes on when you depress the brake pedal and sometimes it doesn't. I get a mild vibration in my pedal, but I'm so used to it now I don't even notice.

Try jumping in your truck, turn the ignition on but don't start it. Push on the brakes a few times, or push and hold - you'll get the idea pretty quick.

That may be it a few minutes ago I drove it around. Sometimes I feel it There is also a noise which may be the pump..
Thanks. I ll keep an eye. Tomorrow I'm driving it to work.

Yeah, I'm still not used to mine (OR). Very "on/off" feel at slower speeds, i.e. coming to a stop. Gets slower, slower, then bam! grabs. I feel like I'm 15 again, doing my driver's ed class.

I have got 300 miles on mine, and also notice a small vibration at slower speeds when coming to a stop. It almost feels like it does when you have warped rotors. Is this what everyone else is suggesting is the cause - brake booster?

I personally don't notice anything that makes me think of air in the system or warped rotors. Do occasionally feel the pump vibration.
I still can't get used to the very low force feedback in the OR brake pedal. To me, its more like the brake pad force is a position controlled system rather than a force controlled system. I go from really standing on my daily driver 2001 corolla pedal, to trying to throw the spouse out the front window of the OR.

AFter driving it today, I do not think is air. I think it can be the pump. It is almost randomly but when it happens it is consistent. It brakes fine. But the small vibration throws me off. I drive 3 other vehicles, so it will be hard to get used to it.

I don't know how to explain it but on the OR that I originally test drove, the brakes felt a little mushy. I was actually concerned about it until I drove another OR and was pleasantly surprised to find that the brakes felt great. The only difference between the two was that the second one had the premium and technology packages and the first one didn't.

I believe this is 100% normal on your truck. I have an SR5 and can feel similar feedback in the pedal, which started happening at 5100 miles. Taking it back to dealer this weekend; brought it in right after it stopped happening and they were like uhh...normal. However, my brake pedal was previously smooth and I'm certain should not be feeling that way. Annoys the shit out of me as it's uncomfortable feeling some sort of "resistance" in a pedal when you're trying to stop. It tricks me into thinking my brakes aren't functioning properly, even though they are as far as I can tell.

I think I will mention it to the dealer once I go in for the 5000 miles service
