    Great info!!

There is a trail called Tower Arch that you can take in Arches NP. It gets you to about .25 miles from an arch. It’s marked as a red in the funtreks book. We did it and it was freaking awesome. If you have rear locker you can try El Diablo, which is a steep slick rock climb. I took the bypass and it was still challenging but I did it open/open.

@xenocide do you have skids and sliders? If so, you should be able to knock out any of those blues.

We also did another red called Jax Trax and there was one spot we had to stack rocks to get my big assed truck up the ledge. This was rated as the 5th easiest red. Anything more and you want a rear locker for sure

Unfortunately no, I don't have any armor. All I've got is my trusty 4-wheel drive, recovery boards, and tow straps. How much does a full skid/slider setup usually cost?... Dammit guys

Cool!! Thanks for the information. I might have to take you up on that Funtreks book. Sounds like it's got a lot of useful info.

And yeah, the heat. That's the only thing I'm kinda worried about. It's probably going to suck camping out, especially around July 25th or so, right??.. Should I even bother with Utah this time around, and maybe just stick to the higher altitudes in CO?

EDIT: also, you mentioned alpine loop - I definitely plan on doing that, do you know if you can stop along the way and camp anywhere? Or is it really just a drive-through in a day thing? I want to find a cool spot to park the truck and camp out up there.

Yalls last meetup looked like a blast. When is the next one?! I've been so out of the loop, but now that I'm home I'm going to do my best to get more involved

I'm dropping the truck off tomorrow to get looked at. If it's not too expensive I think my parents might loan me the money, since I'm at home for the summer and working locally

Speaking of which, if anyone knows someone who needs help in math (all the way up to Differential Equations) or physics, let me know!

Definitely need some armor for those blues, we did the Fallen Peace Officers Trail and I ended up kissing the frame just a tad on one of the drops and I have a little ding in the stock "skid plate". I want to go back with a group in the future, I'd feel more comfortable with someone spotting and having someone else there in case I got stuck. I didn't want to get into something too crazy and end up stuck out in BFE all alone.

On the long, straight and slow roads (65mph limit) through NM I was putting together my updated mod list. Skids have worked their way to the top. I think a full set of skids (gas tank too) for a 3rd gen was around $10-1200 if I remember correctly.

We camped at Dead Horse State Park, it was about 85-90*f when we would get back to camp but it was pretty breezy up there and the humidity is nothing like it is here. It felt about 80* when I went to sleep but ended up waking up in the middle of the night to get my blanket. It drops down to about 60* at night.

They say July is one of the worst months in Moab because of the heat...with that said, if you have the time, it's definitely a sight to see there. Weather wise, CO would be perfect up in the mountains in July. There are some campgrounds around Ouray. You could do Imogene and Ophir Pass one day, camp in Ouray, Engineer Pass to Lake City, camp at Lake San Cristobal, then do Cinnamon Pass, head south through Animas Fork and then camp in Silverton. It does get down into the high 40s at night around those parts.

They confirmed my sales order today and provided an estimated ship date of 7/9/18. Not bad and works with my vacation dates before I start another FB project.
