:pout: sorry bud Happy Fathers day

You probably did a good job. Sink holes came from trees knocked down when my yard was cleared. I've had 3 the size of a 20 gallon trash can. Found the first one when I fell in it. Was almost dark out and the ground gave way under one foot.... Sank to my knee. I've dug out and/or burned all the trees I cut down. The stumps I've been burning are from the ones I had taken down and ground the stump down to the ground and that's it. They didn't get rid of anything underground.

    :sorry:

here, too. 100* the next 3 days

    evening all

Good evening all! Spent the day cutting and welding snow blades with a heat factor of 110 and who knows how much humidity. I cut the fans on in the shop so it felt like a convection oven.

The girls wanted to take me out to get a new grill yesterday. I just wanted a cheap gas grill from Walmart but they wanted me to go to ACE hardware and look. Well we came home with this. It's a Traeger 22 series.

Yesterday I cooked 2 racks of ribs one with a Memphis style rub and the other with a curry rib and they were great! This evening I've cooked another rack of ribs with a different kind of Memphis rub I smoked it for about an hour then turned the heat up they're just about ready to come off,4 chicken breasts, and a small marrinated pork loin. Everything done with pecan so far I got a bag of cherry to try after this.

I forgot we did some brown sugar peaches also

Hey I'd never complain about a filet. Did you get a gas grill or pellet grill? These things are new to me. Congrats on the grill btw any grill that cooks a good steak is a great grill.

Just the $199 2-burner gas grille. It actually came from Lowe's. Lol. We wanted a smaller one since it's usually only cooking for the 2 of us

Congrats on the new smoker. I'm no expert on pellet poopers but have read on the smoking tips and tricks thread here that there are better pellets out there than the Tragger ones. Sounded like the Tragger pellets don't produce a lot of smoke. And know that Curt uses a 12"x12" GrillGrate to get it hot enough to sear steaks. Have fun with the new smoker Chris! People seem to love them.

Working from home today and was "agile" enough to grill the 2.5 lb. bone in Ribeye had planned to do yesterday. Remote thermometer allow it to cook until ready then when the alarm goes off run out and pull it off. And eat.

    BoneinRibeyeSear.jpg

Took around 40 minutes for that beast to get up to 130° internal temp. on the indirect side. With some cherry wood for smoke and Montreal Steak seasoning for a crust.

    BoneInRibeyeDone.jpg

Wrapped in foil and let set for 10 minutes. Then cut the bone off and gnawed it as a warm up :anonymous:

    BoneInRibeyeCut into sections Spinalis dorsi.jpg

Have about half of it to eat yet. But still full of meat butter...

Yep I don't care what anybody says charcoal is still tops for steak especially. I just wanted to be able to cook after work and charcoal usually takes too long. I plan on trying different pellets as stated these don't put out alot of smoke at cooking temps but when you have it on the smoke setting it does. I decided to verry from the plan and I started on the smoke setting for an hour this evening before moving it up to the cooking setting I guess we'll see. I gotta cut it up in a bit so I can fit the ribs in the fridge
