If you get those 17” wheels I would recommend 255/80 R17 vs 285. Better off-roading and better mpg. Wider tire does not equal better off-roading (lack of power actually). You can deflate 255 tires when off-roading and they r awesome. As far as lift goes 3” is relative. OME, Fox, or King

The clam ECGS bushing is better than a new needle bearing replacement. A lot better! Been there

If you have any weight in the front (bumper/winch) go with the 888’s or you will be sagging in the front with 887’s in time

I replaced the needle bearing with ECGS one. Vibration went away completely.

Recently got rid of the truck, put 8k problem free miles with the bearing replacement before trading it in.

Nice! Sorry thought you were someone else. My vibe is there but minimal. I’m wondering if the Toyota part (clamshell bushing not sure if made by ECGS) failed

I have the clamshell bushing replacement instead of the needle bearing, but Toyota did it so I’m not sure if their part is exactly the same as ECGS

I`ll be installing these coils shortly with 5100's all around on 0 setting with dakars (medium) and icon tubular uca delta joints. My dad still owns a frame and suspension shop so if there are any questions i can do my best. Just got my '18 off road dbl cab this month.20180526_120456.jpg

Wait toyota actually installed the bearing for you??!! I heard many people say toyota wants nothing to do with installing aftermarket components on their vehicles. Im lucky enough to live close to raleigh and am up there a good bit, so I just swung through east coast gear supply and they did it in like 30 minutes. I know the bearing comes with a lifetime warranty or as long as the truck is running. Weird yours has failed, even weirder that it failed and toyota installed it...

    Hello,
I have read countless threads about both 887/888 coils for the 3rd gens but still have a few questions I'm sure have been beat to death. The settled lift heights seem to be around 2.25" average for 887 coils and 2.75" average for 888 coils but many people have fairly different measurements ! Some claiming over 3.25" on the 888 coils. I have a 2017 DCSB sport with rock sliders , skid plate and a 32" led light bar. With this added armour I'm looking to net 2.5". I feel this is a safe lift height to be at to minimize cv angels and not limit droop and part longevity . That being said will the 887 sag to much with the minimal added armour? And if I go with the 888 will the weight be enough to bring the coil height down to 2.5" ? And finally with 2.5 " front lift height there should still be a slight 1/2"-1" rake with med dakars with minimal constant weight (100lbs)

Input on what you guys have found/researched would be appreciated

If you have steel skids and sliders go 888’s. Every truck is different you will just have to see how it settles. My opinion though. Just swap out those ucas

Has anyone noticed on the 3rd gens that the lead pack tilts forward slightly instead of sitting under the truck as a level “U” shape?

Yes, they installed the bushing, but it was their part. Not %100 sure it failed. It still has minimal vibes

what did you do for the rear? Keep stock leafs or upgrade? This is the setup I am looking at, but trying to decide what to do for the rear end. Talked with Marie and this is what she said: "For the rear you can go with either go with no lift, a single leaf add-a-leaf, a 3-leaf progressive add-a-leaf or a full leaf pack replacement. If you want to explore these options please let me know and I can explain as need be. You can also select no rear lift and separately add in a block and ubolt kit if you so desired." To many choices.. lol
