I have a 2006 Tacoma 6 cylinder trd off road. I live in upstate NY and drive it all the time in the winter, so it gets salt underneath. I noticed there is a section of my frame coming apart, I am guessing due to rust. Toyota said it is common and not to worry. I am just looking for anyone else with this problem and any advice. Will it get much worse and should I be concerned. The rest of the frame looks pretty good just a little surface rust. Thank you for any feedback! I'd visit another dealer.

Is it from rust? Should I try to repair it my self if toyota will not repair it? I have 80,000 on it and was hoping to put on another 80,000

See if it qualifies for frame replacement.

I would still get second opinion from another dealership then.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
I would express to the dealer that steel that is experiencing delamination is a larger concern than holes at tell them that you want a letter from them stating the frame is solid and safe to drive. I bet you get a new frame.

Welcome to TW! The dealerships are supposed to inspect it to see if you qualify for a frame replacement.
