    All the time!!!
Well I fixed my Taco, its a 15 access cab, and since I got it new 70,000 miles ago anytime I get a cross wind of 20 mph + you cant hardly hear the radio little less your self think. I saw this and saw the cure everyone has said has come from the new molding from Toyota for $70. a window. so before I spent $150. to get it stopped I was gonna make Damn Sure it would work! Sorry the past has made me want to make sure. I had some 3/8 round foam rubber, that I would try first to make sure it worked so right at Thanksgiving I put it on just like the people had shown in previous post. I strung it in the front over the top to the back, and glued it on with plain old super glue! Well I had forgot about it till today, because I haven't heard it since, and today the wind is blowing 25-30 with gust up to 60 mph, and I had to go out to the farm to check stuff. and about half way out there with the cross wind hitting the passenger side door it donged on me, NO NOISE!!!! So I guess I wont be going to Toyota after all. The Foam that I used came from McCOY'S lumber yard a couple of years ago and when I got it, it cost $3.19 for 20' of 3/8" Backer Rod, is what its called there, and 2 tubs of Super Glue at the Dollar Store, for $1. IMG_0748.jpg IMG_0749.jpg IMG_0747.jpg IMG_0756.jpg IMG_0764.jpg .............................And here is the one that is the same at Walmart for $6.00 which is the same thing! I was going to go to Toyota and get it fixed but $4.19 versus $150.00, I think I'll just stay right where I'm at and see how it goes it still just as tight as it was when I put it in. Its a real cheep way to check to see if it will work for you before you give Toyota $150. for there mistake! IMG_0744.jpg

Did you use any kind of adhesive with this?

I think some clear RTV silicone, a lil dab every few inches to hold things in place on the ones that needed it (i think only one line need it, the others stay in place without any adhesive)

I cut a slit in the gasket and slid in some .25" tubing.

Never made a peep after that, took all of 5 minutes.

See my previous post (quoted). Tried multiple dealers and nobody would replace the door seals.

Took matters in my own hands and ordered some 1/4" drip line https://amazon.com/gp/product/B0091D31IA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Ran TWO drip lines between the seal and the door. Haven't heard a peep since!

If anyone is still hearing this annoying "Kazoo sound", this mod is a must.

I recently added the second 1/4" drip line after a single didn't totally fix the issue. All is quiet so far!

Worked for me today! I used the 1/4 irrigation tube in the right most two slots. I need some rvt to get the middle one to stay.

Not sure if its possible but I also think it made the cab quieter. Maybe its just me since the Kazoo is gone.

Yup definitely can make the cab quieter. less wind turbulence. Try putting a seal between the doors to fill the door gap... you would be surprised at how much that quiets things up as well.

Well I'm not 100% sure if this mod but since doing this mod I had a speaker go out and more water in the door then I've seen before. You guys might want to check after a good rain just in case.

Any Canucks get the tsb done? Went to my dealership and they stated no tsb exists!!!! I will take the number from this thread and see what they say. I think I will do the fix myself. Thanks for all the info fellow Tacomaworld members! Cheers

    Here you go: t-tci-4519

I bought a used low-mileage '15 TRD Sport from a Toyota dealership last fall and have until September to get any covered repairs in before the factory warranty runs out. I've been trying some different things to mitigate this issue myself...

Meanwhile, I went into my local dealer today (much closer to me) to have the driver's side speaker replaced under warranty, and mentioned this issue again.

I played the service advisor TacoMan408's YouTube video, and I showed him the free skipping rope and dollar store foam wire tie (ideal for gardening; soft vines, tender tomatoes, delicate plants) I have packed into both front door seals, gave him the US TSB 0170-16 and politely asked them to investigate it.

I didn't have a TSB # during my previous visit a couple weeks earlier and he didn't find one the first time I complained about it, though the one I posted seems have been published months prior. He came to get me in the lounge a little over an hour later, told me the speaker was done, and that he would call me when the new seals came in to book an appointment to have them replaced. I assume they will be covered.

Hope this helps out some one else. Basic warranty period is running out.

Thanks Journauto! I will take that into the dealership this week. Luckily other than the cazoo sounds, the truck is solid with no other issues. I will post back with what they do or say. Cheers

Got mine done today. It took just a bit more than two hours from the time I arrived at service til the time I drove away. They replaced both the inner and outer weatherstripping on the front doors. It wasn't a windy day and I didn't drive on the highway or into a crosswind, but I had to close the door twice a few times because the new stuff is thicker and more robust, and didn't close properly.

The cabin sounded quieter. Should be good as new, though the rear doors still have the original weatherstripping.

Good on Toyota to fix this. If your truck is out of warranty, good luck to you.

Are you talking about the molding between the roof and the top of your windshield? If so, I have the same issue. I've verified by pulling over one day when it was happening and putting some painter's tape over the molding at the top of the windshield. The sound stopped immediately.

What did you do for a permanent solution?
