That was so easy and clean. Wow! My only tip: buy a #10 drill bit from Amazon if you don’t have one already. The fit is absolutely perfect. Also, I trimmed a couple times to get the little nuts to fit, but then realized you can just slide the edge of the nut under and then thread the bolt on to get it started. That probably makes more sense once you get going.

My biggest fear was actually popping the trim on and off, but just start with the top right corner like the guy on the video and it pops off nice and smooth.

I ordered the perfect squeeze from Hondo Garage so plan on using that. Unfortunately, I forgot to get the second ram ball that you need for that mount, so I’ll post more pics once the setup is complete.

I love how it’s invisible if you take the ram ball off. No worries at all about drilling into the trim because of it.

By the way... the knobs on my stereo are also from Hondo Garage and are soooo much better than the ones that come with the truck. I could barely grab onto those.

Oh, forgot to mention that it’s sturdy as heck. I’ll give an update once I have my phone mounted, but I’m not worried at all. Seriously people... buy this setup from @FreshMexicanTaco. You won’t regret it.

 

Any progress on the additional hardware sources? Got my kit. Just want to have a place to get more balls and hardware when the time comes.

 

I'm definitely interested. I've never used a RAM ball mount though. What all additional items would I need to be able to mount my phone and/or a tablet?

Thanks. I have the Hondo radio knobs, so I know they make great stuff. I am looking to find a cheaper option if possible though.

In order to mount both my phone and tablet, I'd need the multi-mount the OP is making, an additional RAM ball, and then two of the extensions? Just want to make sure I know everything I'd need before ordering, thanks for the help!

Edit: Obviously I'd need the actual phone mount as well.

 

The holes in the mount are for 10-32 screws, so you’ll need a 10-32 center bushing for the second ram ball. Other than that, you should be good. Just make sure you phone/tablet mount also has a ram ball to go on the other side of the extension (that’s what I forgot when I ordered the Hondo garage perfect squeeze).

I’d like another ram ball with bushing, so waiting to see if OP can get a discount on them.
