What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I hadn't posted since this morning, been bored all day browsing IH8MUD instead. I used to be neighbors with one of Photoshop's original product team members and the actual creator of its predecessor.

Oh, I didn't realize I was that fast, I had just gotten home and got on TW. Guess it was a photo finish then...

I do use the pen tool, but then I rasterize the shape each time when I'm done. I'm sure that has an effect on it that I have no idea about lol

 

Working in illustrator with the pen tool and avoiding turning your objects into raster objects makes it a lot easier to keep tweaking without throwing it all out every time

 

When you rasterize it you pixelate the image, vector will have clean lines. In illustrator import an image of your favorite tacoma into your work page, create another layer and trace it. It will work well

 

Yep those Napa remans have a lifetime warranty, just bring it back and they'll give you a new one. I was going to rebuild mine when one of the pistons started sticking, but it was way easier just to take it back and get it replaced.

 

Wheeled her at the Alaska 4x4 Meet and Greet. I was rather pleased with how Roxanne performed.

Totally worth the money, they're cardone remans anyway so failure rate is pretty low. I knew my cruiser was gonna eat brakes so I got those remans just so I could change the caliper every 30k haha

 

Sweet! That makes me feel better, I'll give them a call and hopefully get them Saturday since they have the worst hours of any auto parts shop 7:30-6

You may recall a few photos that Mike (@Digiratus) posted of the Dan's (@drr and me) a little over a week ago as we attempted to simultaneously change our timing belts (Thanks @Timmah! for the great video.) Just installed thse fox 2.0 coilovers & JBA controll arms & rear fox 2.0's my self yesterday! Amazing performance compared to the stock struts & shocks i had since 2002! I can say i feel like i'm floating over the bumps etc.

 

do you know what rating those coils are that came with the kit? 500 or 600lb (or higher?)
