I have a extang rollup cover and I am happy with it. I bought it last fall and haven't had any issues with it. It was easy to install and reasonable ordering it online. The snaps can be reversed (button is off center) to add / lessen the tension on the cover for warm and cold weather. Only complaint I have is it is a pain trying to get my fingers between the cab and bed to grab the velcro straps to hold it in place when I roll it up.

I had the classic roll up and now have the Extang Revolution. Both are quality products but the Revolution is so much better to use. It comes off easy, rolls up and fastens easy too. The snap cover is ok and it looks fine but it's a hassle, especially in cold weather.

I had an Extang Platium (rollup/snap) cover on my last truck (Dakota) for about 6 years. No problems at all, weathered great, but it was a snap cover. I live on the gulf Coast so cold here is freezing. When cold, the snap cover is a PITA to take on-off, but I don't take my covers off very often. It did what is was supposed to though, it was a cheap light cover that kept eyes and weather out of the bed.

BTW, I have an Extang Tuff Tonno on the Tacoma now. Rollup cover with the J-hook instead of snaps, a bit more expensive, but worth it to me. Just note that if you take the cover on-off alot, you may want to consider a Trifecta or some other folding cover.

Also +1 on the post on getting to the velcro cover tie-downs being a pain. Keep a screwdriver, or a piece of wire, or something around to fish it out when needed.

Yes, you can leave them in, but the cover attachment clamps (3 per side) will go over the tie-down rail such that if you want the tie-down in another between-clamp area, you'll need to remove it and place it into that area.
