Still better than 9-5 hours depending on where you come from. And 2 hours is nothing for me at this point i do it 4 days a week for school, 4 hours of driving a day. Whats the harm in the extra hour or so for all the fun shit we are gonna see anyways

 

We did this a few years back, about 4-5 trucks. But we crashed at a hotel instead. It was a ton of logging roads that even aired down sucked with the washboard conditions. Otherwise it was super easy driving and some good hiking.

I would be down to go at it again and camp it if we get something going.

 

This is True. It's a really nice area in the mountains and lakes region where camp is at. That is 5.5 to 6 hours from me to get there. That includes stops. 21 miles from Quebec

 

Do the trip backwards, moxie falls, to the trains end at elephant mountain.

There has to be logging roads and what not from Rangley to the forks.

Probably. I know i can ride about 25 miles of logging roads from camp and end up about 10 minutes South of Rangeley on 16

 

Maybe this needs to be a Toyota take over of northern Maine weekend. I would love to start in Rangley and go from there. I would be willing to try for a Thursday night arrival and take off Friday to get a nice day of logging roads.

 

Oh damn so your camp is higher than where we are gonna be going then? Much confusion

Either way i can camp or sleep on someones floor in a cabin its no biggie to me haha.

 

Na its North, North West of Rangeley. 30 minute drive or so taking 16 to 27

Did it a few years ago. Was a fun trip. Also went to the falls in Baxter state park. I’d like to do it again and stay at the state park and do some of the easier hiking trails.

 

C'mon I drive 15 hours to Charleston!

I probably won't be joining, but I was up there 2-3 years ago and did the plane and logging roads up there. I found multiple areas where I could line up jumps and catch some air, and there is plenty of "off roading" for a casual fun day. Might not be super tricky, but I am sure if you wanted to you could find some challenges pretty easy on those log roads.

If you haven't been it's an awesome place, and worth the trip. Moosehead also lets ATV's/UTV's on the streets which can be fun.

 

My brother was up there last weekend and snapped a few pics.

On a side note, just remember a good portion of the state is privately owned, and land owners have no problems shutting off roads if people rip them up too bad.

Whomever is organizing or hosting people pick a date and see from there otherwise we'll be sitting here spitting out dates and nothing will ever come of it.
