Well, to say that I'll be working may be a bit of a stretch...

But I'll still be stuck at work, in a bunker. :pout:

The U-Connect in my Ram works very well also, but is a touch slower on dialing a call after I tell it to than the Sync system in my F150 was. But it is improving slightly, so I wonder if it's got an algorithm that learns your voice or something, and since I got it used it's got to unlearn somebody else's voice first. :notsure:

Still have to plug it in to the phone, though, for muzak from there. Which is a rare occurrence; SiriusXM has a lot more variety than my phone.

It's only for select phones. To utilize the wireless, I'd need to replace my phone too, but I want to keep the wireless charging without a case... So many monies!

Well aren't you a sunshine-vomiting optimist this morning...

Of course, if today was my Friday I'd be more optimistic too...

I'm sure I'll be the exact opposite when I'm back at this desk at 7:30am next week

Only 3 days left this week for me too. Taking Friday off. Heading up to Maine Thursday night( Mrs is heading up Wednesday with the giblets) and then hopefully wheeling Henniker area Sunday.

Damn. Actually I don't even know if my phone has Android auto, and I kind of like the stock FJ headunit. But so many headunits have apple complatability while relatively few have android functionality.

Maybe not worth it currently then haha. Android Auto would be nice, but not needed. Oh well, maybe there will be some good deals in fall/winter.

I believe all phones have the capability, but not positive. Only select phones have the wireless capability though
There are cheaper options for solely wired compatibility

Mine needs to be plugged in for Android Auto to work. I don't know if I'd ever use it wirelessly anyway. Usually, if I use Android Auto it's for Google Maps and I'd rather have the phone charging at the same time.

How'd you wire those distribution bars? Straight run to the starting battery with a breaker on the + lead, or do you have a second 'house' battery in your truck?

Went out to the truck and the headunit is mysteriously fine now. Although, it asked me a bunch of questions about authorizing auto-updates when it started up this time--kind of odd.

Well, a little more "real" than OGT, Boothbay. Specifically an Island just south of it called Barters Island. And I'll be offshore on the boat most of the time so that will be real, downeast Maine!

My co-worker has issues with his Ford headunit all the time. He goes and gets it re-flashed or updated or something and it's fine again.

Nice. My old company used to do a booze cruise out to an island in boothbay, then have a lobster bake every summer. That area is nice, though route 1 can suck my grundle in the summer

This is the first time this one has done anything odd, so hopefully it's not the start of a trend.

Normally it's fast and the interface works well.

You're not Downeast until you're past the Penobscot.
