I didn’t even have to shoot or anything. Prior military has its perks! Took the legal aspect
Of the test and that was it. Easy as could be!

 

This is part of the problem.. Not the fact that military gets you a slide, but that people are getting the slide. I'm not discounting your service, in whatever capacity it was, but there are service members(as well as plenty of other people) that should not be allowed to own firearms because of Mental issues and the like. Unfortunately because you have a status you get the slide... Not that a background checks for Mental issues anyways so it's a moot point I guess..

This is the key here.. Not all service members have adequate firearms training, or use that training. Just because Military or Police doesn't mean you carry a firearm or even use it. #deskjockies

There is. I didn’t have to Pay an take any civilian course for mine. Just the license an processing fee, I provided my fingerprint card but I was in corrections at the time!

 

Would that really be a bad thing though?

I took my class in April, they didn't like by fingerprints, so i had to resubmit my papers, and now I'm waiting the 90 days...

 

That is correct if I file for FL and then I wanna say Idaho you would be covered for all the states that have a CWP. You look up all the reciprocity states on Sled.

 

Was easy. They even did fingerprints while waiting to shoot. All I had to do was mail application in with a money order. Class was super easy

 

I've heard people talk about a Utah permit covering a majority of states
