    Hello everyone!

I am looking for step bars for my 2009 Double Cab TRD.

Right now I am looking at getting the factory Toyota Step bars. I found one website that is selling them for $318.00 with free shipping and handeling. Is this a good price for these?

Is there anoter step bar that every one recommends?

Do they make step bars yet for a 2009 or will the 2008 fit?

Please note: I want something that will last and hold up well and that will keep with the lines of the truck.

Does anyone have pictures of how the step bars get installed?

Has anyone done motorized step bars that hide under the truck until you open the doors?

Thank you in advance for all your help.

Ok, so 05 to 08 step bars will work on a 09 and 05 to 08 tonneau covers will work on a 09 am I correct.

Phantom thank you for the reply. The bars are very nice but they really don't keep with the lines of the truck.

Here's mine: Go Rhino Dominator II. Easy to install and were tested by my 250# brother-in-law stepping on them. Got them at truckcandy.com for around $330 shipped. They're like the nfabs but at 2.5" in diameter. The nfabs offer 2 or 3". Both are good brands.

new to forum - found it on google, was looking for side steps for my husbands' 09 tacoma, reg cab purchased with a lifter kit and HUGE chrome wheels. The truck is Sandpearl in color (very pretty black) and the chrome trim looks awesome with it - but Toyota dc'd the chrome tube steps for a Regular cab and only makes an UGLY painted silver(gray) step for the regular cabs now. We have been to the dealership 3 times in 4 weeks for various add-on parts that didn't get ordered or were ordered incorrectly, a very loooong story that started with a used Tundra purchase. The dealership has been magnificent in their attempt to make things 'right' with us - but they have not been able to find the side steps we want. Thanks to this thread, the n-fab link provided and subsequent google search for the part number and a retailer, I found powder black gloss side steps for our truck and got them ordered today. I am SO excited!! Thank you!

Do you like the steps, the way they feel when you use them? I'm just curious about if you can feel the metal pattern through your shoes, unless you wear boots all the time. I definately like the Go Rhino Dominator II series and was thinking about getting black as well. My truck is Timberline Green (Dark green) and I think the black would look good to me and the stainless (or is that aluminum or chrome) steps would be enough of an accent.

Do the Go Rhino Dominator II's protect against door dings if someone swings open a door quickly? Or does it stick out just enough to block a door?
