I was looking forward to coming, but got tricked into handling two big jobs while my dad (in charge of both) ran off to France for 10 days :angrygirl:
Was looking forward to catching up James! Hopefully soon brotha :)
Robs right, excuses excuses :( Two things I need: an off-island Tacoma and property somewhere other than this eastern Alcatraz

    Congrats!

And no. There’s five of us or so that just got their technicians license. None us us know shit. I think @vssman knows stuff, but he’s not going on this trip.

We'll just pick a frequency in our '''proved bands' and make sure to use our call signs every 10 minutes or so. That's about as far as I've gotten.

Truth is I haven't done more than listen to repeaters (getting 20-30miles on my mobile in truck). Still have to do a SWR check before I send out for any conversation.

Maybe pick two frequencies, the other is a backup frequency. My radio has a two frequency switch.

After reading reviews, wish I went with that one. I got the $60 one instead, but looks like they’re they same internals...
