Nope, the cheesecake version of nose art was what I was thinking about just better quality than an ordinary sticker.

 

That's probably something you'd want to have an artist do in paint. They're around. Mostly doing graphics on motorcycles and helmets these days. Back in the 60s/70s, it was vans.
