Colorado B.S. Thread

My conversation this morning with my State Farm agent (who I've been paying auto and home to for 15+ years) went something like this:

Me: "I'm going to need to file a claim for my car and my home's roof."

Her: "You need to call the main corporate claims office."

Me: "You don't have anyone local to come out and check it out? Or an auto body shop to bring it to in order to get it checked out for a claim?"

Her: "No. You have to go through the main claims dept. I can give you their number but be warned that there's up to a two-hour hold time right now."

Me: "So there's nothing you can do to help me with this?"

Her: "Unfortunately, no."

Me: "So then what do I pay you for?"

Awkward silence.

Me: "Just give me the phone number, thanks."

 

If it makes you feel better I bought my place from the owner of the State Farm offices in Louisville & Longmont, got quite the deal given it was December.

She tried to sell me insurance at Close...

 

Just sold the truck and cancelled the insurance. So glad to be done paying $100 a month in insurance on that thing. Always amazes me that insurance goes up over the years instead of going down as the truck decreases in price.

 

I’m enjoying the ovrlnd camper process, choosing latches, roof rack stuff, jerry can stuff, propane stuff, and getting to choose almost everything!

 

Shitty commute, crap window view...



But awesome to have owners who understand the work. They were beyond thrilled with the work and amount we got done today. Just waiting on roofing now.

 

Went through this a number of years ago. Love my SafeCo Insurance now.

 

Pea-sized hail in SE Aurora right now. Seems I slipped the grass-cutting in between downpours.

Its weird, they called me and gave me the claim number, then called me again to schedule the inspection.

Still waiting on a call back from ours. Not in too much of a rush because our trucks are still useable at least. We went and checked out Fountain just below us and it was like someone attacked the place with machine guns.

This is the first time doing a claim on 8 years I been with State Farm so far so good.

 

Yeah, both my taco and my girlfriend’s Impreza got caught by the hail yesterday, filed the claim online with Farmers, someone is supposed to call me tomorrow and coordinate a time to get both checked out. Both windshields need to be replaced, and roof/hood/entire right side panels have dents. At least some will definitely need replacements.

 

F*n GOALS right here. Dayum!


Anybody been to Lathrop state park? If yes... thoughts?
