Nothing is more beautiful than driving up I5 in the summer.... used to do it every year. Actually don't do that. It's terrible.

Where is pch closed from? The gf and I are going to be near Sacramento on the 30th for a wedding and was gonna drive down the coast on our way south.

Hi guys. I wanted to introduce myself. I am a new-er member. I am looking forward to jumping in here and chatting with you guys. Everyone has been great so far, very welcoming. I have been honking and waving at other Tacoma drivers. So if some bearded weirdo with a German Shepherd hanging out the rear window of a white Tacoma TRD Pro honks and waves, its probably me...or a bearded weirdo in a Tacoma TRD Pro with a Gernman Shepherd.

Personally I would do Tahoe and the Truckee area if thats in the cards. You can make the drive in a day, its just boring as fuck but If you make it up there the 29th I got a place for you to crash before you go out into the woods, I'm flying up to Reno the 28th to hang with my dad for a few days.

Beyond that, you guys will find plenty of stuff to do to kill the time. There are alpine lakes all over to camp at and the weather will still be nice. Tahoe itself is pretty touristy but its still a good time. Text me if you have any questions, I'm sure my dad can make some spot suggestions too.
