Debatable.
Some of the communities in Western Maine are very definitely MAINE but are South of Bangor. Gotta grade on a curve.


Edit- Now, if we're talking about the I-95 or Route 1 corridors, you're definitely correct. Too many transplants for it to truly be 'Maine'

 

I can agree with that. The same can be said about the coast. Boothbay is definitely not real Maine but Barters island which is sou'west of that fits the bill pretty good.

 

The GF's parents just bought a piece on Westport Island and none of their neighbors are originally from Maine

They've all been here 30+ years, but they're still 'from away'

 

Ah well, after 17 years you qualify as a local. At least that's what I am saying because that is exactly how long ago I least Assholachusettes. Next year the requirement for everyone jumps to 18 years. Westport Island is nice, it's what the view is off my father dock across the Sheepscot...

 

Very nice. They bought a fixer-upper on the Western side of Westport. So they're looking across Back River instead.
If I weren't going on the Waterfall trip this weekend I'd put the boat in, come dip my face in the water to scare all the fish off, and force you to spend Saturday afternoon on shore drinking beer instead.

Something happened that our server went down, no ETA on repair time, but apparently logging in remotely to wherever it goes worked according to IT, so came home and I'll be dammed, it worked.

 

By the way... A father's day and early birfday gift from my parents.

This thing is bad ass. My parents had one for many years and loved it. Finally capped out and they couldn't find another, so they bought a newer model. Found this one and bought it for me.

Oooh, nice present. I have a Nespresso machine. The lazy mans way to pull a somewhat passable espresso. Everyone who comes over and tries it is all amazed at how good it is and I'm thinking to myself- if they only knew what a good espresso was like!

My girlfriend got her dad an espresso machine for Father's Day too, must be a Portuguese thing. IDK if I have ever had an espresso, let alone a decent one.

 

You gotta try it Ben! If the machine is good, then it'll be amazing!

 

We're doing breakfast at her place tomorrow, I'll get back to you after then!! I do like coffee, but usually tend towards cold brews and nitro. Man I love nitro.

 

Nothing better than a shot of expresso at breakfast. I do that on the weekends... too much work during the week... or at least it used to be because of my old machine. With this one it's a breeze, so might have to start doing it during the week as well. Press a button, and BAM, out comes the expresso! And nothing to clean since the machine cleans itself basically.

 

That's why I like the Nespresso machine. Nothing to clean. Just keep it full with water, snap the cartridge in and push the button. And it's actually pretty good for what it is. I have one every morning before I leave the house then make a travel mug to go.

I guess an espresso machine is a Portuguese thing. I have a Krups...

 

Late to the convo but maybe I’m just getting old as I don’t mind the Entune radio in my truck. For the limited reasons I use it, it’s fine for me. I like having the maps just to see where I am relative to side roads. Waze is better but I like seeing the map.

I haven’t had the issues some people have with the texting features but I’ve got an iPhone and don’t use the Entune App and I can count on one band the number of times I’ve had issues with Bluetooth and texting. Using the iPhone for music via USB is spotty but so be it.

I’ve got CarPlay in the Vette via a few year old NEX a friend gave me for free and it doesn’t blow me away nearly as much as I thought it would but mainly because the map app is limited to Apple Maps which is quite poor.

It blows away the HU I had in there before regardless.

 

Gotta head over to Europe. Just sit, people watch and drink espresso.
