Any flexible waterproof sealant should work fine. I have had mine for well over 4 years and have had zero leaks.

Silicone or RTV if you want a little more permanence. Butyl tape does not sound like the way to go at all..

Looks like you got the wrong spacers or the wrong bolts. Give us a call and we will get you the right hardware.

I did a quick search and can't find anything, I am curious if anyone runs rotopax and maxtrax over their cab and still hauls a canoe or SUP board? I don't want to take the stuff off the rack in order to haul the canoe or SUP.

You definitely could. Its just a matter of placement. No reason you couldn't put a set of tracks or fuel packs in the center of the rack to fit between the gunwhales of a canoe.

that's what I was thinking, but then the SUP wouldn't fit. I think it's safe to say you can have one or the other on that one. No such thing as the perfect rack setup I guess.

Yeah, SUPs and Surfboards are just big planks that give you not much to work with.

I emailed cbi/prinsu in order to fix the problem. Did they end up sending you new hardware? If I cant get it resolved I'll just get new hardware to make it work.

Yep, they are sending new mounting hardware. I just have extra washers on it for now so I could mount it. I didn't silicone yet so will be easy to change.

Yeah, I got the Cabrack about 3 weeks ago, all was good and am very pleased with the quality. I get compliments on the rack all the time.

Thank you! Looking to replace my factory roof rack with something more "capable."
