True about brake fluid having to withstand high brake system temps. Also brake fluid must be hygroscopic (absorb water) because any humidity or water in the brake system can corrode the steel lines and compromise safety. ATF is not hygroscopic by what I know, and it doesn't have to be since transmissions have a way to breathe (unlike sealed brake systems). So any humidity in the transmission will slowly be vented out at operating temps and not condense in the system. Someone please chime in if they know ATF generally to be hygroscopic.

Good brand, though I prefer older Lennox products, from the early 2000s and before...

 

This unit is definitely older, probably about 30 years old.

 

Not trying to start a competition here the vendor here makes a beautiful product. Awesome good to hear just installed the winch this past weekend anxious to try it out. There a couple guys in my area who have it also an they are hard on their rigs also not a peep about it. I saw your leafs just a few min ago wish I knew about them before I got dakars good job.
