@slowboater unless anyone chimes in I have a feeling we'll be the first GFC equipped infernos.

Where are you and what color are you getting? @SJaYx2P

I'm going with silver because I just can't get my head wrapped around a white one. I would get black - and think that look best - but I keep my dog's crate in the back and I'm afraid it will get too hot.

I’m in NorCal. Going black with just the cab window. I plan on removing the panels for when I have the dogs. This feature was my main reason for the purchase.

Yep, and fiberglass hates vibration. Doing 45-50mph in the dirt, you get a lot of weird stuff happening with panel fatigue etc.

I wonder what the design will be for insulating the panels?

I have no doubt the guys from GFC Will come up with something awesome and fancy, but something reflectix might just be the easiest, quickest, cheapest way for thermal improvement

Double check with them about the removable panels. I don't know if that's an easy thing to do but it doesn't look like it would be.

From this picture it looks like there are 4 bolts on the sides. Not sure how many there on the rear panel. I highly doubt it's riveted on both sides of the hinge. From what I remember GFC wanted a design where the units are serviceable by the end user whether adding accessories or replacing damaged parts.

More awning mount photos for those interested. That's a 2.1m awning mounted. Also a picture of a quick tailgate grab handle to make it easier to raise and lower from inside.

I think those bolts are to hold the top on, not just the hinge. I guess it’s doable to take the sides off but that doesn’t seem to be a simple task.

Doable without having to drill out rivets is all I’m hoping for.

Wasn't the original concept designed with soft side panels that were interchangeable with optional hard sides? I know they didn't go that direction for production, but I always thought the soft sides would eventually be an option... meaning the hard-sides would have to be removable, no?

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ idrk.

I've asked this question but never seem to have gotten an answer. I'm like you. I have a dog and I wonder how easy (or difficult) it is to remove the panels. Do you know?

All this talk of removing panels for dogs got me wondering if there was a feasible way to partially open the panels for some ventilation. Especially while driving or even parked. Maybe some kind of limit strap, doubt there is anything you could to the struts themselves.
