Just extra help on a workover rig. You can ask me what a work over rig is/does but to be honest I don’t really know. I just show up, do what they say for 12-14 hours and leave.

 

What do they make you do exactly? Lol

 

Lay rod and pipe out of oil wells.
Just doin it for the summer to pay for school.

Why do you have those 4wd Hi and Lo lights? Is that from the 4runner parts swap? I only have the green icon indicating I'm in 4wd.

No Toyota ever made had those cluster lights. I custom made the lens in Photoshop with several layers of plastic transperancy glued together. I utilized the unused transfer case switches to complete the ground for the lights to illuminate. I don’t have ABS or a diff lock so I used those positions in the cluster.

So this don't work with 2001-2004s and TRDs because of ABS and RR Diff Lock?

Anyway to position it elsewhere?

 

No it will. My ‘98 originally said RR DIFF LOCK and ABS where the 4HI and 4LO is now, but if you have ABS or the diff lock you won’t be able to do This mod.

I have tons of extra copies of it if anyone wants to try it.

California doesn't allow "new" grey market cars to be registered. What's in is in and all other's are out of luck.

You can position it elsewhere wherever you have unused cluster lights, but you’ll have to make a custom lens in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.

What I did was pop the lens from the cluster, scanned it, and scaled it into a template for Photoshop.

Or I’m just wore out and interpreting it different.

Don’t get me wrong though, it is pretty cool.

I remember seeing it in the other thread when he did it.
