I'm telling you dude the only way to save that wheel is to drill them out from the back.. take off the hub assembly and take it to a machine shop and they can stick the entire wheel-spacer-disc-hub assembly under a big drill press and drill out all the studs. First the factory ones, then pull off the rotor, then measure where your spacer lugs sit and drill their heads off with a large drill bit from the back through the spacer.

Op, what about a small drill bit to drill through the area where the lug nut / lug stud meet. Then pounding the fuck out of it with a punch in an attempt to split the remaining nut from the stud?

you don't have to rebuild anything as you don't have to take apart your hub assembly. and you arent drilling 12 lugs, only the heads. drilling 12 lug heads is probably 50 times easier than drilling down 6 of the actual lugs.

Thats kind of what I am trying to do. I am going to drill though the threads and then I should be able to pop the whole thing off.

I guess even if you're off center when u center punch, if you step up drill bit sizes slowly and incrementally, it'll achieve the same result: popping the nut loose from the thread. I think you got a solid plan. Just buy some high quality bits (cheaper than a rim) and TAKE YOUR TIME. I think u got it.

We are on the same page. I have a plan. I may try some good step bits but either way, my approach is going to be to remove the threads by drilling and then pop the SOBs off.

The only other thing I can think of that is minimally non invasive is possibly renting an induction heater and hear that bitch up cherry red and go at it a cold chisel.

Yeah but the problem is is that there is stud in front of the nut. If I could get a chisel straight onto the nut, this would be a different conversation.

wont work. there isn't enough clearance between the lug recess on the rim and the outside of the broken piece taking onto account the threads. plus that broken off piece is likely seized on there. plus you will damage your rim no matter what you try. do what I said in post #94. Shouldn't take a machine shop more than an hour to do both wheels
