:notsure: maybe they just excluded info on cofigurations from the release?

I hope you aren't comparing a 20 year old truck to a new one lol

Nah, I compared them back then too but couldn't afford the same equipped Toyota at the time. That year Tacoma is almost still worth what the ranger was new....lol

So some of the pictures look like the rear suspension is spring under axle. Anyone else seeing that?

Gotcha. I feel like the later rangers were designed to be a fleet vehicle, but then everybody moved to full size since gas price was a non issue.

Now that mid size trucks are capable of carrying a family of 4 comfortably they are making a comeback and the trims offered show that.

Gave the taco day off to clean it up a bit. First new vehicle I owned.

Man....I can’t overstate it.....the styling on the new ranger is so bland. Sure the Tacoma has bland performance, but at least it looks a little jazzy. I think styling alone will save the taco from the threat of ford.

Ford has been building this Ranger version for several years now. Only new to USA.

Much like the Taco being a Heritage grill away from looking good, I think the Ranger is a Raptor grill away from being quite handsome.

I'm a bit disappointed that Ford didn't do anything for the USA version. Taco definitely has the looks.

Maybe they are taking the VW approach and going with something simple and clean that will look good until the next generation and leave the fancy stuff for the raptors.

The power and torque the Rangers 4-banger turbo will have will probably be more than the Colorado’s or Taco’s V6. That’s what has me interested.

It's not bad looking. It looks like a taco.
Even comes with cool amber lights in the wheel fenders that's gotta be worth at least 2 ponys!
