Got the shocks and coils yesterday in the mail. This morning I drove my Taco like I was in a high speed chase, my poor pup got cut open shoulder to hip by a raccoon I didn’t see that was on the porch. I’m gonna kill this juvenile raccoon now I’ve caught him on the porch all week. Dogs in surgery now. If my dogs better then my OME suspension is going on this weekend!

Tech from Crutchfield figured it out. Turns out that if you have your camera set to power on only with the reverse taillights (grounded to chassis is fine in this case), and you choose the "Camera" icon on the head unit, it will give you the "no video" screen. Your music still plays, etc, but it now considers that Camera to be the selected source. Unless you manually choose another source, like a CarPlay app, or Tuner, or whatever, it will keep bringing that "No video" screen up when you switch out of reverse, restart the radio, etc, etc.

Simple fix. Don't hit the "Camera" icon if the camera isn't wired to be always on. And if you do hit it, just hit Tuner or another source.

I put 2 down around me within days of each other. Both had distemper and not rabies thank the Lord. I dealt with wildlife my whole life, retired from wildlife control and that is one strong nasty critter. I have had them curl 1/4" steel rods in cage traps. Sorry your pup had to experience that, not fun. I been bit by everything in the southeast, and some released from other countries. Good luck.Be safe

Agreed! I was hesitant to do bronze wheels on a silver truck at first. Happy with the decision!

Oil and filter change last night. Swapped out my No Spill Systems oil drain valve for a Fumoto valve. More for comparison than any other reason. I've had the No Spill on a couple of vehicles but have never tried the Fumoto. Getting the drain tube on the No Spill was tricky with my IFS skid, I want to see if the Fumoto is any easier to operate.

Glad to hear there was a simple resolution. Brings up an interesting idea though... use the reverse light as the trigger, but wire the camera to accessory 12V. That'd give you rear video whenever you wanted, but it'd also automatically switch to the rear video when you go into reverse.

Absolutely doable with these head units, which is a nice feature. The 12V on the trigger wire will allow it to preempt the existing source, and then will return to it when you take it out of reverse. Meanwhile, if you're towing, or just want to see how closely that jerk in the Audi is tailgating you, you mash the camera icon for a look.
