    Called Bill Penny Toyota about my keys. $350 for the Tacoma and $365 for the Venza...plus tax. That's $786.50 to replace two keys :infantry::locked:

    It is a Bluetooth device that the truck senses proximity to and allows the doors to unlock and push button start to work. It also has a laser cut key inside it to unlock the door if the fob's battery is dead. As far as I can tell it has to be programmed by a Toyota dealer.

    It shouldn't have to be reprogrammed just put a fresh battery in it

    They program the truck to the key not the key to the truck
