URD mk2 Y-Pipe in que

48 hours ago I finally placed an order for the URD mk2 Y-pipe to install and work with my Borla cat-back and OV tune 104 91oct tune.

Yesterday mid-day I sent an email to URD on when possibly my order might ship and Steve at URD was kind enough to response that my order was #37 in que to ship. Then within the same hour I received another URD sales invoice stating it is currently on backorder and expected to ship approximately later next week.

Has anyone else recently received this similar information when ordering the URD mk2 Y-pipe for their gen3 Tacoma? Thanks.

 

This is standard practice across all businesses. When items are not in stock they are back ordered..

You have the information you need from them.

I’m struggling to understand the intent of this post. Asking if other people’s orders are back ordered seems moot at this point.

 

I hope they are not charging you until your item ships. That would be kind of bogus to keep your money until they actually send it to you. Personally I am no fan of URD.

 

Most places do. That’s a pet peeve of mine.

 

The bad news is that they don't have any in stock. The good news is that they do their own welding so they're probably making one for you now. URD shipped me my parts hella fast. I wouldn't be concerned.

 

Don't know why you guys are getting upset over a backorder, it's nothing to worry about. They just don't have them in stock and they'll send you your item when they are back in stock

You bet. If you need any feedback regarding install when you get it in just let me know. Install wasn't too bad for me.

 

These days there's more of an expectation that if something isn't in stock that the web site list it as such and give an estimate on how long the delay would be if ordered. I know it's not so common with fabricators but if I ordered stuff from Amazon and they said "sorry, gonna be a week or so" I'd be annoyed.
For this reason I buy ammo from lucky gunner because they don't play those backorder games.
