Never heard about that. If it did, it didn't do anything to improve its reliability...

I remember years ago this guy did a youtube video with a hilarious "commercial" for his Aires. I can't for the life of me find it any more... :(

Yeah LA's metro system is that way, too. Especially if you're taking it through Downtown or Hollywood....or through East LA (probably the worst). I've lived in Pasadena most of my adult life and the gold line through here isn't too bad comparatively; used to take it to see Kings games downtown to avoid city traffic, parking and drinking/driving. Worked well for that, except one time I fell asleep on the subway like a hobo coming home at midnight and they went all the way to my stop, and back downtown then they were done for the night, lol. I had to Uber home from there.

Man I'm glad we dont have anything like that in NC. Closest we got is the MARTA in Atlanta which is where you go to get Aids. Or the Subway in DC which actually isnt that bad since most people on it are tourists.

jesus christ I'm glad I don't live out there. We're finally starting to hit the low 90's regularly out here...it's actually been a pretty cool summer so far in LA. The worst of it for us is usually August/Sept where we see 100+ daily.. I love Halloween, not because it's a cool holiday or anything but because that marks the beginning of regular wheeling weather again for me.

Another reason why BART is so outdated and loud is because they’re using the ORIGINAL rolling stock from the 1960’s. We’re getting all new cars by 2020. It took them so long because the geniuses who decided to build BART in the 60’s designed it to use a wider gauge of train track called Indian Gauge, to be an example to the train systems and for other people to follow.

Guess what. BART is one of the only functioning train systems in the world to still use Indian Gauge.

That’s what you get for having an Aerospace Company design a train system.

Congrats, you are the very first person to comment on it. That is actually the namesake to my username - I know a lot about BART.

I made that username years and years ago and I just kept using it.
