    Going to work on the 4wheeler some more. I have all the aluminum cleaned out of the case and the jug has been honed. Now I need to dissassemble the head and clean and re-seat the valves.

    LOL, I know. I was able to recover all the piston pieces too. All the gears are fine too. The oil filter did one hell of a job keeping the aluminum shavings out of the pump. You sir, do excellent work.

    make sure to check the crank too, when you pop a motor sometime the stress will fuck that up too.
    i really wish i could come to RC but spanks family is having a welcome home party for him and i cant miss that.

    LMAO, I might have to make this. I haven't had the Tundy on blakc/blues yet.
    The crank seemed fine. It is still in spec. I am more concerned with the valves as the piston was striking them. They will come off tonight.

    even the bearings? dont worry about the valve worry about the dome, valves are cheap but if they get smashed into the head thats when it gets pricey. if it hits away from the seats your fine just sand that spot down.

    Yeah, all the bearings are smooth, no play or rough spots. The dome looks fine. You can see where the piston rolled in the cumbustion chamber and struck the valves at the very edge. I don't think they are really damaged but I just want to check their straightness.
