I had my car serviced 2 weeks ago and since then my radio randomly reboots. When it does it typically does it 2-3 times before it starts working again. Anyone else have/had this issue?

Not sure what year you have, but my 2015 radio has been my biggest frustration with the truck. Just doesn't bother me enough to do anything about it. It is a common problem.

It's a 2017. Think its coincidence that it was just serviced? Hadn't happened prior to that.

Does the screen go blank or is there a message listed with the reboot?

It goes blank the has the Tacoma loading screen message come up like it was a planned reboot.

There are threads here about that very same issue.

There is a firmware upgrade that should fix it, Mine did that when I first got it and I got the update from a member here and did the update myself, hasn't done it again in over a year.

Mine continues to do this, always when receiving or trying to make outgoing calls. Most recent firmware has not corrected this.

I installed the new firmware on mine a couple weeks ago. I've only had the issue happen with inbound or outbound calls. Since installing the new firmware its only happened a couple times, not all the time like it did before.

Funny you say that.. both times my radio rebooted was during an outbound call.

See if you can make it happen consistently.

Then take in for warranty and show them.

Mine did it for first time this morning but I think it's because I held down the phone button too long?

IDK, my siri does not work either.. this is all starting to make sense. Entune is the biggest shit system ever. It's basically the Bono of systems, no one wants to listen to that shit.

My head unit does the same thing in a 2016. It reboots all the time, incoming/outgoing calls. When i summon SIRI. This is the biggest piece of crap head unit ever.
