been doing great... i try not to use it, but it's great to have when i need it. those tiny sticks connecting to the wheels are my concern, so i try not to stress things up front when i don't have to

Thanks for the info. The CV's aren't the toughest things, but they sure are easier/cheaper to replace than the clamshell! I mostly want the locker for the muddy, boggy, swampland I live in.. I imagine it's not too hard on the driveline when everything can spin. Not exactly slickrock in this part of the world.

I was talking to Sarah about our upcoming mods, and she wants to put 35's on the FJ. I looked through your FJ build thread for info on fitting them... all I saw was the cab mount chop (with InSain plates) and beating the pinch weld. Was there more to it?

much easier than the taco. push the caster out to 3.5-4* to help as well. there's a few other spots that needed some massaging. we have 1.25" spacers on the trail team wheels.

Oh man! I think I totally missed (or maybe forgot) about the dual sticks! What's your drive ratio in double low?

A small handful of select mods.
Knobs are too shiny and clean. Does not go with the rustic interior you have going there. :D

    RXT mod...

discovered an issue with my rear shock length while driving on rocks in @jberry813 's yard...when rear tires were tucking, the shocks were fully compressing causing my shock to be the final bump. no bueno..

with the help of @TMFF (303 Shock Services), we retrofitted some RXT lower shock mounts on to the Icons to give me some more uptravel.

    before
    20180319_171821.jpg

    after
    20180526_162714.jpg

    testing compression
    20180603_130933.jpg

previously had zero shaft showing...much better now
    20180603_130941.jpg

this now got the shock cycling where it should be and the shock is no longer my final bump :woot:

@TMFF @NYCO any idea if the same eyelet could be used on a King Shock and if so how can I get my hands on a set? I have a similar issue since modifying my leaf springs to where I only have about 1/8" from where my shock bottoms out when it is at full bump. I am not using all my droop travel so If I could swap one of these in and put the extra 1" or so on the bump travel it would give me a better buffer on both ends.

I am not sure if the shaft sizes or thread pitch varies greatly between king and icon though

Can't use Icon rod ends but king has a few different sized rod ends. Yours standard king bolt ins? what the OAL of the rod end?
