quick update, gonna try to get daily updates as i get the body work done. i need to stop procrastinating haha

day 1 of doing the body work. almost got one bedside panel down to bare metal. theres actually not as much rust holes as i thought. just a bunch of surface rust that spread...and some reminances of a fiberglass attempt from whoever had the bed last lol

    stay tuned for tomorrow!

    Day 2 update

almost got the pass side done today. tomorrow my goal is to get the flares off, finish the pass side, and get started on the driver side. we'll see how far i get

taking this one day at a time lol, im making sure i get out there for at least an hour to make some progress. little periods of grinding will eventually get the job done.

that is true lol, baby steps! thanks man, I cant wait to get all this body work done....once I'm done with this....I can start actually getting the rest of the truck work done. Body work is the biggest thing I have to worry about right now; my trans is done already, engine will be easy to tear down, get fixed up, put back together and drop everything in. Then i need a cross member made for my trans, which I have my tube bender, 3rd members are built already, cooling system, AC, brake lines, hydro lines for the clutch...and a few other things that im not thinking of.....so yeah...haha

tell me about it.....lol, I remembered I had a front range full float adapter saved as a bookmark ($600) but id need another solid axle to be able to accomplish that......(another $400) lol

basically that kit allows me to put the front spindle, hub, and locking hubs in the rear to allow for a better disc brake conversion and a safer setup so the wheel doesnt come off when an axle breaks lol

    Day 3 Update

so today was an interesting one. i managed to get both the flares off finally, but, the driver side flare suffered and was a casualty when I pulled it off and it sadly broke. so....either i looked for new ones or just run without it. kinda pissed...as i know its hard to find these damn things. i may be able super glue or fiberglass and fix it.

secondly, i fully opened up my histeer from Marlin Crawler....aaaaaaaannnnndddddd, im missing 2 tie rod ends and the pitman arm....not a happy camper right now. of course they were closed today....so i have to wait until monday to call em.

lastly, i got about 95% of the pass side finished getting cleaned up. debating just cleaning the WHOLE bed...or just fix as I go

so yeah....eventful day lol, i was out there for about 2.5 hours
