No I’m swapping stock bedsides. Not Fiberglass. I’m trying to spruce up the bed that I have with a rusted and full of holes deck.

    oh. Yeah no.

You'd have to do a ton of welding. Body welding. Fuck that shit.

It’s that bad? Huh. I mean the crushed up bed is like $40 so I don’t mind a challenge.

well considering you have 100000000 other things to work on your two trucks. And you have that nice welder but haven't laid a bead once since you got it...

    Yeah. That bad.

    I'd pass.

The rational part of me agrees with you 100%

But the stubborn part of me wants to drive 4 hours to pick up that bed.

    I’ll sleep on it.

    I'll put it this way.

If you want to. Go for. but you NEED to practice welling a lot more. You'll want smaller wire for the body shit. And i'd practice on you shitty truck before trying to ruin your nice truck. That is not a fun first welding project at all. And going off your last photo of a welded wrench..you have ways to go..

True, 35s + LT/4-Link + 1" poly body bushings + fiberglass gives it a pretty high stance, lots of clearance. New bumper also knocked several inches off the old tow hitch.

The extra width and sway bar keep her stable on the mountain roads however.

Still maybe eyeing a gofast camper style in the future.

nah even your front kit looks like it is a bit high in general looking at the LCA angle.

GFC would fit your build way better then having a rtt up that high. Certainly would allow you to open up the taps more in the dirt!

    Good advice.

My other option was cut the rusted parts out of the bed and weld in patches, but changing out the bedsides seemed simpler.

Was stink bug before, pretty sure the rear bumper leveled her out some, shifting more weight to the back, also swapped out to synthetic line. Sure that brought up the front a bit too.

Man he passed me up when I DM'd him a week ago :( Nothing big - can't even remember what it was for. I'll keep being the squeaky wheel though!

    How much for the seatbelt?

I paid $150, I think the one with the explosive pretensioners are more expensive.

I use the same convo I’ve had with him for over a year. It doesn’t get lost because I have a message history with him.

I weld semi professionally and I would pass on body work. Its like when you catch a piece of paper on fire, the hole just gets bigger, and bigger, and well you get the point. It would be a waste of time and money. Why dont you spend your money on getting that lift installed?
