Yep. This exactly. I just didn't know the right terms. They even stole one from behind a gated driveway earlier this week and they're still trying to figure out how they got the gate open.

I bought an RFID blocking bag for my keys to stay in hoping it helps if they decided to try and grab my car. It's ALWAYS in the garage when I'm not driving it and I try to leave one of the other cars we have parked right behind it so they couldn't wiggle it out if they got the garage door open too. I'm just looking to whatever I can do to protect myself against these people both at home and in public. I haven't driven it anywhere it will be out of my sight line in months because I'm paranoid about someone snatching it up. They have even been so ballsy as to try and grab 2 parked side by side in broad daylight.

In other, less fortunate parts of the world, you just make pay your insurance payments and don't leave your belongings in the car and plan on it being stolen.

Most of my time is in a bell 206 b3. Then second is r44. While my license allows me to fly any helicotper under 12,500 lbs take off weight in vfr or Ifr conditions, that doesnt mean i could just climb in one and saftley fly it right off the bat. Here is a list of helicopters that I have experience in
    Schweizer cbi 300
    R22
    R44
    R66
    Bell 206
    Md500
    Md600
    Any Astar
    Bell 205
    HH-60j

Now if I was by myself, I would try to fly any helicopter on the planet. But if I was gonna take a passenger, it would be those in that list only

I think helicopters peg the Ultra Cool meter. Think we've got one of those sky crane units booked for next year to replace a backup genset. I see the Mornin' ballet of two sometimes three skeeter sprayers just a stones throw from my house. Simply amazing!

Those air cranes are nuts. The main rotor transmission is rated for 8500 hp continuous, 9000 hp for 5 minutes. Unloaded with 1/2 tanks of fuel..if you are in a hover, an pull max torque on the airframe, it will climb vertically at over 70 mph with zero forward airspeed
