I noticed that too. I've done far too much work today because I haven't had the normal BS to distract me

My excuse is that we're F-ing slammed at work today. I don't know what happened; the phones were steady this morning and then around 10:30 or so they just blew up and have been ringing off the hook ever since.

Had to run to the hardware store. Also got tired of the ridiculous paper bag wind buffeting in the FJ with the windows open. Only solution is to open the rear window but then the stupid door open symbol on the dash lights up at retina burning brightness and you've got to manually turn off the dome lights and can't lock the doors. I've seen elaborate setups online, even someone selling straps they made to keep it open.... but I'm cheap.

Went browsing though after getting what I needed otherwise and noticed the dog leash snap rings looked to be about the same size as the dring on the rear window glass. $2 later and problem solved....

Now all I hear is the sweet sweet sound of mud tires. Surprisingly no creaks, squeaking or other misc noises from this 11+/~200k mile vehicle

So what do you do if it starts raining while you're driving down the interstate?

Leave it. It's only open maybe 6" at the bottom. I've drove though pretty heavy rain with it all the way open and it's been fine. Little to no water inside. I can't imagine any would get in like that

Literally everyone here loaded everything they own into their trucks and is up there. I'm sort of jealous, but not really cause I'm off today anyways hanging out with the giblets/ Mrs.

Plus I'm gonna go do some wheeling Sunday.

Aerodynamics must be totally different on that than on my Jeep; I had a Cherokee with a bad seal at the bottom of the rear hatch and whenever it rained when I was driving I'd get a puddle on the floor in the back. Not driving? No puddle. Something about the vortex it set up, just sucked water in through the gaps in that seal.

Meh. It was a beater anyway, a '94 with 200+ on it. Ran great, though. And it was a tank in the snow.

    Hiya Steve.
