Well, I guess when I said I didn't know there was a removable type, what I should have said is, I didn't know they had a permanent type. Simply because I have never had a problem removing anything with either.

On Harley's we used red on everything we did. Of course there is a lot more vibration there. We just never overdid the amount the we used. Typically a drop or two on one side of the threaded shaft. When I use the blue I coat the entire threaded shaft.

So if all you have is red, don't let it stop you from proceeding, just use it sparingly.

Drove home from work this morning.........been pissed lately because of the interstate construction has prolonged my commute.

So.....today home I stopped for coffee and then took a route home that completely avoided the fukkin interstate.....back roads (that would have been much more fun in a Mustang GT Convertible).....turns out the trip was only a couple miles longer and only 10 mins longer (but reliable....no way to delay it like the damn interstate).

    This was the result:

Not too shabby considering that I'm driving my hunt truck, lol.

Had a minute to play around with the superbadass cheese grater that arrived last night. Thank you tons, @Ruminator . I really think I'll like this grill.

When I was shopping around for my truck.....I liked the SR5 wheels the best, but liked these grills the most. I should've worked it harder and got a scooped hood when I bought my Taco. Thanks, Mark. Really appreciate it.

Knocked off the bugs & such.

just installed a mbrp catback exhaust. fairly straightforward, just had to drill out the bolts holding on the flanges cause a lot of rust. love the sound, nice growl on startup, low to non existant when idling, and a nice rumble when you give it gas. the fact that it was 207$ on Amazon and I had it in 2 days made it even better20180622_143232.jpg

I’ve found that the “avoid highways” and “avoid tolls” options usually deliver a less stressful drive in close to the same time frame.

Worked great if you had a DA!
For all those lucky and young enough not to know DA is short for ducks ass a greaser term for a hair style. And a greaser was a street/hot rod racer or car club guy back in the day.
You know you're old when you have to explain this stuff!
