Here are some pictures that show the front setup. It's your 2.5 LT kit with Kings.

Could we please see some close-ups of the components? Something higher resolution would be preferred so we can see all of the little details. Similar to your first shot, but more angles and closer up :)

Thanks! Have you confirmed the torque settings on all of the components?

Our first suggestion would be to double check everything is tight. A nut or bolt being slightly loose could cause some noise. It's a little bit of work, but we'd recommend checking all suspension bolts in the front end.

Something not related to your suspension that could be causing the noise is your skid plates. With the frame flex on these vehicles they can creak or squeak against each other or the frame. This doesn't happen with most OEM setups, but can on aftermarket plates. We'd recommend removing the plate while trying to diagnose this issue.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had all the torque specs checked last week, and all seemed good. i'll check the skid plates this weekend. Appreciate it.

No problem! We ended up having to put plastic washers between the skid plate and frame on our 2016 Build. Let us know what you find.

@TOTAL CHAOS So I had the shop look today, and it appears we found the issue. It looks like the knuckle is rubbing against the control arm. Have you had anyone else running into the same issue?

Do you get loud clunks/pops when making u-turns or when your wheel is at full lock?

    Normally no.

But on occasion I do .. mostly when turning left right before I back into my garage. Though I think that pop is coming from the steering rack.
I do have a horrible clunk from my passenger side only that shows up when wheeling and I haven't been able to track that down yet.

For some reason I get this sound every time I turn the wheel all the way, and on occasion when it's not turned all the way. It's driving me nuts and I feel like it hasn't always been there.

The arms hitting the spindle like that is normal. That’s where the steering stops were prior to trimming for the +2 kit. If the steering stops were the clunking noise it would only happen at full lock. If I was trouble shooting the problem id start by pulling all your skids. I’ve seen the same issue with the skids making noise on more than 1 3rd gen.

I'll take a look at that also. What was your fix for the skid plate issue? Or is it a situation where I just need to accept the noise?

Some sort of isolator would be ideal. Like chaos said they used a plastic washer. I used some 3/16” thick heavy duty rubber washers

And that was just between the skid plates and frame? How many did you end up having to use?

Went into a cul-de-sac and did several full lock turns both left and right.

    NO clunking at all.

Sorry about the delay - the TOTAL CHAOS shop is on vacation. The pictures you've posted does look normal. Even with the steering stops trimmed off per the installation instructions, you may still have slight contact at full lock. Under normal conditions this doesn't cause popping or cluncking like you're experiencing.

We'd recommend checking the skid plates if you haven't already. Pull them all off first and see if the noise is gone. From there you'll need to figure out an isolator before re-installation.

Hey everyone - a little delayed, but wanted to give you an update. Turn outs the skids were never tightened properly when my exhaust was modified. Got everything tightened down, and the noise is gone!
